Chill out

You know it’s getting to be PRIDE when…

I’m not a big Taylor Swift fan. She usually rubs me the wrong way and her songs remind me of life in junior high, so I’d much rather forget them.

And yet, she was recently spotted at Stonewall Bar in NYC playing Shake It Off with Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and she released a video featuring Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan van Ness, Bobby Berk and Tan France, Ciara, RuPaul, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita, Billy Porter (POSE!), Adam Lambert, Adam Rippon, Ryan Reynolds (Can you be or get any cooler?), Hayley Kiyoko, Todrick Hall, Chester Lockhart, Dexter Mayfield, Hannah Hart and long time feud buddy Katy Perry who seems to buddy up to her.

Making it evidently queer that Pride month is a magical time of year where even grumps like myself can feel a tickle down where there used to be magic.

    1. It’s not a great song. I just like the video. Burning up a trailer in a trailer park looks like fun, as does a blender full of cotton candy. Otherwise, meh!

  1. Ohhh this has been ALL OVER. Some call it pandering, I call it a message from an ally. She’s one of the biggest pop stars in America and like you say, thousands of tweens and teens look up to her. It’s a step in the right direction, methinks.
    Also, all that FABULOUSLY!

  2. I am not a fan of hers either, but it is encouraging that she is supportive of the gay rights movement. Just getting back into checking the blogs I read. Hope you are doing well.
